Join our Solar Development Team within the Green Investment Group as a highly motivated Asset Manager to help the Green Investment Group support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. This London based role will work in the Development function with responsibility for our European renewable energy investments in operations.

As an Asset Manager, you will work closely with local teams and partners on the operations of renewable energy projects in Europe. You’ll be a central point of contact for local Green Investment Group team members working on operating assets and will be responsible for monitoring a pipeline of operational assets.  In addition, you will liaise with key counterparties including partners, contractors and other key project stakeholders. The role will include oversight of day to day administration of a pipeline of projects, including reporting and information flow, policies and corporate governance, monitoring of project performance and optimisations.

Your key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Selecting and implementing of asset management software and portfolio monitoring system for operational projects
  • Monitoring performance of operations assets
  • Issue resolution and the coordination of information flow
  • Ensuring risk management systems and processes are in place
  • Contributing to policies, processes and procedures
  • Ensuring projects are compliant with HSE requirements and obligations.

To be successful, you  have 8+ years’ experience in asset management of large-scale renewable energy assets including experience with asset management software and the ability to manage a portfolio of projects and technologies in operations. You’ll also have the ability to work closely with our Green Investment Group head office, risk management team and local partners to progress projects through internal approvals processes and meet reporting requirements.

You will have excellent analytical and superior problem-solving skills, strong organisation and coordination skills, a strong understanding of the renewable energy project lifecycle - particularly solar PV and strong financial knowledge. You’ll also be commercially minded with contract management skills and you’ll be strong team player who can work within the wider Green Investment Group team to advance the Group’s overarching business strategy.

You will be fluent in spoken and written English and educated to degree level in an Engineering or technical discipline. You will need to be based in London, and available for regular travel within Europe. Experience within the Italian market with the relevant language skills will be highly regarded.
