An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Volunteer Coordinator to be based at our Watford Wellbeing Centre. The post holder will be responsible for managing the Volunteering Team made up of one part time Volunteer Coordinator (East) and one full time Complex Needs Volunteer Coordinators (based in Welwyn) and ensuring the ongoing development of the volunteering programme at Hertfordshire Mind.

No of Hours: 20 hours per week
Contract: Maternity Cover (Fixed Term Contract until March 2021)
Base: Watford (but with travel across Hertfordshire)
Salary: £22,000 (Inc OLW) pro rata

The post holder will also be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers in West Hertfordshire. The post holder will need to be creative, motivated, organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for promoting volunteering.

Hertfordshire Mind Network is rapidly expanding and the Senior Volunteer Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the continuing recruitment and development of the volunteering programme. Working closely with the Volunteering team and staff across the organisation you will ensure that volunteers receive the correct training and are placed in roles where they are well supported and able to thrive.

Purpose of Post
To work closely with the Volunteer Coordinators and staff across HMN to ensure that volunteers are placed in services to assist with the smooth running of the service along with valuable support to our clients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and confident individual with excellent communication skills to work across the area to develop the volunteering function of HMN. The post holder will recruit, train and support volunteers in a variety of roles across the organisation, including fund-raising, Peer Mentoring, group work, Peer Support, administration and fundraising. The post will offer the opportunity to make a real contribution to the development of the organisation.

The post holder will also expand our student placement service and seek to work with local companies to offer exciting and innovative volunteering opportunities.
