Team Leader
South Ayrshire | Ayr
Circa £26,000 pro rata for part time hours.
Addaction is a leading drug, alcohol and mental health charity. We help people change their behaviour to become the very best that they can be. It could be their drug or alcohol use or worries about their mental health; we support people to make lasting change in their lives.
We work with adults, young people and families, in community settings, in prison, in residential rehab and through outreach in local communities. We believe that everyone can change and we support them to do it.
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader to join our South Ayrshire Recovery Service, based in Ayr. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will supervise a team of staff, assist in caseload management and provide crucial day-to-day management support for our Recovery Workers. The successful candidate will also support the exciting development and management of a multi Disciplinary Intensive Support Partnership.
The successful candidate will have experience in the substance misuse field and ideally have previous team leading experience plus strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner. He/she will be someone who thrives under pressure, has good time management and prioritisation skills and can work well with others. This role will provide a potential first step towards a full career in management.
In addition he/she will need to be positive, confident and well organised with experience of working with substance misuse service users in a health, social care or criminal justice setting.
An SVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care is required as a minimum qualification.
In return we offer excellent benefits and the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive, compassionate, professional and friendly team.
Working hours will be 5 days over 7, Monday – Sunday. Working pattern will be agreed with Service Manager on appointment.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver services within the community so a driving license is essential.
A comprehensive job description and role profile is provided below

* Enhanced employer pension contribution

We want to safeguard and protect the children, young people and adults we work with. Our rigorous selection process applies to all applicants to support this aim. If you are applying for a role which involves regulated activity with vulnerable adults, children or both you will need to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (including Barred Lists) check (if in England) or become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme (if in Scotland). We will also seek references from your current employer as part of the selection process.
