Here at XPO, we’re currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to be based at our site in Grantham. You will join a successful, developing team and you’ll play a key role in the site's finance activity for both the warehouse and transport functions.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £25,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support the Finance Manager by preparing and producing weekly accounts including accruals, and prepayments
• Process month-end accounts, journals, and reconciliations for the warehouse and transport functions
• Manage supplier invoices ensuring they are processed in a timely matter and also provide credit control support when needed
• Provide cover for the finance and admin teams during holidays to ensure business as usual when they are out of the business

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Ideally, you will be qualified AAT Level 3 or equivalent
• Previous experience within a finance role is essential and if you have used SAP and/or COUPA, you get extra points!
• A desire to develop a career within finance as we want this person to grow with us
• Confidence is key as we need someone who is comfortable making decisions in the Finance Managers' absence and someone who really wants to make the role their own!
