Housing Assistant
The aim of the housing needs team is to ensure that people in housing need have access to the housing and support necessary to meet their requirements.
Housing Assistant Responsibilities:
The Housing Assistant will play an active role in meeting these aims, and in the provision of an efficient housing service by answering basic telephone enquiries and dealing with routine correspondence, assisting in processing housing register applications and maintaining both Council’s housing register and by developing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues across the team, across the District Councils and with external and partner agencies as appropriate.
Housing Assistant Requirements:
We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, a commitment to customer care, who can deal calmly and sympathetically with customers who may be angry or distressed and has the ability to cope with a busy and sometimes stressful workload.

Job type: Part Time, Fixed Term Contract to end of March 2021, 18.5 hours, Monday and Tuesday all day, Wednesday morning
Salary: £21,725 (£10,862.50 pro-rata)
