I'm currently assisting a leading business in Central Birmingham in their recruitment of a Part-time Management Accountant on a 12 month FTC. Paying up to £33,000.
The key responsibilities of Part-time Management Accountant:
Provide support to Group Finance team and commercial business units to deliver accurate and timely financial information and to manage the purchase ledger team
To take ownership of the monthly reporting process
Production of detailed cost reports
Production and issue of monthly management accounts reports
Posting monthly management account journals and reviewing assistant management accountants work
Posting accruals and prepayments journals
To assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
Identification of potential cost saving opportunities
To lead the purchase ledger team
Review purchase ledger processes and identify areas of improvement
Support month end dutiesThe Successful candidate will have the following:
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Experience in a similar role
To be a self-starter who would be confident discussing financial matters with members of the senior leadership team and externally with clients
Good understanding of Excel; manipulating large volumes of data using pivot tables and advanced formulae
