A fantastic opportunity is available for a Part time Financial Accountant to join a not for profit company for a 12 month FTC
The role and responsibilities
To provide a professional, comprehensive and accurate finance service, meeting the needs of the organisation, funders, and external clients.
-To provide financial and management accounting support and services to external clients, including but not limited to preparation of accounts, management accounts, independent examinations and consultancy work.
-To produce financial, management reports required by internal projects and departments.
-To be responsible for the correct and timely submission of all Returns required by the Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House for external clients.
-To be responsible for the claims process and for ensuring eligibility and alignment with contractual obligations and the Terms and Conditions of funding and the company's own policy and procedures.
-Support the work of the Programme Director in ensuring that through the provision of accurate financial information, overall project spend can be properly managed, including forecasting.
-Provide guidance and support to staff managing contracts, contractors and delivery partners as required on the reporting of outputs, expenditure and general progress..
-To process and monitor payments to delivery partners in respect of their claims in line with contractual obligations.
-To respond positively and constructively to internal performance management processes and to contribute to the ethos of continuous improvement within the Programme, Corporate Services & Finance director
-Write reports, carry out presentations and undertake administrative duties in connection with the post.
-Carry out evening and weekend work where required.
To be considered for this role you must have experience as a financial Accountant within the Charity sector and be looking for a part time role
-Qualified to CIMA or ACCA level
-Experience of producing management accounts and annual accounts
-Experience of managing budgets and presenting financial information
-Experience collecting , managing and analysing complex data
-Experience in working in the not for profit sector
The company are offering a salary of £28,,203 pro rata 21 hours a week
