I am currently working with a County Council in the Central England region, who are looking to bring on an agency Minerals and Waste Senior Enforcement Officer for an initial 3 month period. This position has the flexibility to be OUTSIDE IR35.

The suitable person will be responsible for, amongst other matters, planning for minerals and waste developments. The successful candidate will coordinate the work of officers to ensure that site visits are carried out in accordance with performance targets, investigate potential breaches of planning control or unauthorised developments, investigate and respond to complaints and enquiries, encourage best environmental practice and standards and lead on any formal enforcement action relating to minerals and waste sites.

Experience managing a small team is desirable. A car for site visits is essential.

This position will last for an initial 3 months and there is scope for this to be extended. The rate of pay is to be negotiated at this point, depending on previous experience.

The council are happy to offer flexible fulltime or part time working hours; a compressed week and flexible home working.
