Practice Accountant

£20.00 - £25.00 Per Hour

Part-Time. Contract

We are looking for an experienced practice accountant to work for a small, but growing accountancy practice client of ours based in London.

Our client currently outsources some of their accounting, and this position will be to review and oversee the outsourced department. As such you will need to be qualified (ACCA/ACA/ICAEW) and have experience working within an accountancy practice background for a number of years. The software used is Xero so a good understanding of this is also required.

Although this position is mainly overseeing and reviewing work undertaken elsewhere, there may be some ‘hands on’ work required, such as finalising and accounts preparation.

The working hours are roughly 10 per week, over 2 days per week. You will ideally be based within a commutable distance to London; however, this is not a requirement as you are able to work from home.

The main job responsibilities are:

• Reviewing client accounts
• Management accounting
• Overseeing the outsourced accounting department
• Providing guidance and answering any outsourced queries
• Tax computations – self assessment and corporation tax

What we’re looking for:

• Must come from a practice background
• ACCA/ACA/ICAWE Qualified
• A good working knowledge of Xero
• Highly organised and able to prioritise workload
