Bield is Scotland's largest housing association and is eager to recruit a Deputy Manager within our Retirement Housing Services in Cumnock, Menzies Court.

We are looking for the right person to work closely with the local manager to support and supervise a small team of locally based employees who have responsibility for delivery of services. You will play an important role in ensuring that our tenants receive high quality tenancy management, property management services and a flexible meals service which offers freshly prepared meals and value for money.

The hours of employment are 18 hours per week organised as follows:

Friday - 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Saturday and Sunday - 9 am to 5.30 pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break to be taken between 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm

Role Requirements

Excellent written, numerical and verbal skills, as well the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with tenants, relatives, colleagues and other professionals are considered essential requirements for this position.

Experience of working in housing, social care or health services or to have demonstrable personal or volunteer experience is essential, through which a thorough understanding of the needs of older people and services provided to older people has been gained. An SVQ Level 2 in a housing related discipline is desirable but not essential.

We offer excellent holidays of up to 34 days each year (pro rata for part-time employees), with the option to buy or sell holidays each year. We also pay the cost of Disclosure checks for employment opportunities.
