Job Title: Cleaning Operative

A fantastic opportunity within Harrow Council has arisen for experienced and self-motivated Cleaning Operatives to join our expanding team on a temp basis. The role covers the offices and schools within the area.

Pay: Up to £10.60 per hour
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 3:30 pm to 6.00 pm

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

"Emptying waste bins, transporting all waste material to designated recycling points
"Vacuuming carpets throughout
"Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
"Using electronically powered scrubbing / polishing / vacuuming machines to scrub, polish, spray and clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training)
"Dusting, damp wiping, washing or polishing the furniture, ledges, doors, window sills and external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments
"Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required
"Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
"Maintain checks of cleaning stock levels and inform the Sit Supervisor of low stock levels (eg. cleaning products)
"Perform and document routine inspections and maintain the daily audit check list
"Manage and control of any cleaning chemicals according to COSHH regulations
