We are recruiting extra special people to support our students with their learning, living, work and care.
At National Star we create individualised learning programmes for our students based on their interests, aspirations and requirements. Some of our students come to us on a daily basis and others live with us within our college residences at Ullenwood (near Cheltenham), Cheltenham and Gloucester.
We currently have opportunities available to join our residential team as a Facilitator (care/support worker). You will have an allocated residence with its own staff team and group of students and support them with their individual journeys at National Star. You will be involved with their learning programmes, social activities, clinical and personal care.
National Star has excellent facilities including a fantastic multi-disciplinary team approach where you will work with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, behavioural psychologists and practitioners, nurses, support staff (Facilitators), tutors and personal learning coordinators.
You will have the opportunity of term time only and all year contracts, with options to work part time (minimum 16hrs) up to full time (44hrs for term time only and 37hrs for all year). You will be required to work shifts, these tend to be early e.g 7am-2pm, late e.g 2pm – 10pm and spreads e.g 10am – 6pm. You will be required to work every other weekend, full time term time staff when working alternate weekends are required to work long days on both the Saturday and Sunday approx 8am - 8pm.
