You will support patients in the community who have been prescribed PEG feeds. Hospital Dieticians will refer enteral nutrition patients for you to visit in hospital ahead of their discharge. You will then visit in their homes to help patients and carers become confident and competent managing their PEG site and enteral nutrition. You will also provide training to Nurses and HCAs in Hospitals, Community and Residential Care on using Feeding pumps, monitoring PEG sites and all aspects of enteral nutrition This is a great opportunity for a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Nurse Learning Difficulties (RNLD) or Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN) with PEG experience from working as a Community Nurse, Agency Nurse, District Nurse, Staff Nurse or a Nurse with a background in Oncology, Neurology, Stroke, Palliative Care, Nutrition, Nursing Home or Gastroenterology looking to specialise or further their nursing career. Full training is provided.
