The Delivery team in the GLA’s Skills and Employment team commissions and manages projects that support the Mayor’s objectives of creating jobs for Londoners, helping Londoners gain the skills and experience they need to compete in London’s competitive labour market, and helping businesses to grow.

We’re looking for proactive and enthusiastic individuals to join the team and support development, procurement and delivery of the GLA’s European Social Fund (ESF) Co-Financing Programmes and Adult Education Budget (AEB) Procured provision.

You will be working in a matrix environment, supporting your colleagues to deliver a complex and varied portfolio of projects encompassing support to unemployed and disadvantaged Londoners, as well as employers, schools, colleges and independent training providers.

You’ll be an effective member of a team, used to collaborating to achieve shared goals. You’ll possess excellent communication and influencing skills and be comfortable having ownership and accountability for the tasks assigned to you.

Organised and structured in your approach, with excellent attention to detail, good writing and IT skills, you’ll be accomplished at delivering work on time and to a high standard. You’ll also be effective at managing, analysing and interpreting electronic and paper-based records and data, identifying issues and proposing workable solutions.

You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of end-to-end project management and control processes from development, procurement and contracting through to evaluation and contract completion, and a keen approach to ensuring eligibility and compliance.

You will work with a large and diverse number of internal and external stakeholders, from delivery partners and providers to senior managers, helping to ensure that the team’s projects deliver their objectives on time, to budget, and to the highest possible quality.

This role is part of a job share arrangement for 14.8 hours a week.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.
