MANDATORY TRAININGS

We are a small 26 bedded home providing care for dementia residential and nursing care. We are based in Ilkeston near the town centre and we are not far from M1 Junction 26.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take handover from previous team member ensure that you write everything down on a handover sheet and sign the sheet. Ensure call are answered and message written clearly.

* Good knowledge of medication ordering and booking in

* Ensure all medications are given to residents on time.

* Order drugs for residents when required repeat prescriptions usually ordered monthly.

* Follow advise and instructions given by GP, other health care professionals.

* Report conditions of residents to managers and the consult with GP if any concerns. Communicate and update the residents’ relatives about the update of the resident’s condition.

* Make sure all monthly observations/weight are done, double check if any left.

* To be the nurse in charge when on duty

* To facilitate a high standard of care through written care plans for the residents as directed by the manager.

* To plan, assess, implement and evaluate the care given to the residents.

* To contribute to the personal needs of the individual resident and ensure they enjoy a good quality of life by ensuring a friendly caring environment

* To be able to work as a team under the supervision of the Manager

* To provide and maintain the standard of care to our residents as required by NMC code of professional conduct.

Requirements:

* One year of experience
