An exciting opportunity to work for a very well-known Central London University has arisen. They are looking to recruit a temporary part time Fundraising Research Assistant. The role is working 20 hours per week for 3 months in the first instance. The salary is £26,053 (pro rata) £14.31 per hour RESPONSIBILITIES To work with the Fundraising Research & Campaigns Manager to identify, evaluate and rate major gift prospects in the UK and overseas. Assist with developing the knowledge of the University’s alumni, friends, key supporters and volunteers by;        a) Producing detailed research briefings and compiling comprehensive background information in      order to meet strategic needs and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.         b) Produce brief notes on prospects and alumni attending fundraising dinners and alumni events.         c) Both reactively and proactively enhancing the information they hold on key prospects and  supporters on their CRM. 3. To assist in the maintenance of information on the CRM and update confidential records 4. To actively follow and promote the University’s policies, including the University's Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities Policy and actively promote these wherever possible. 5.  Any other duties reasonably required of the post holder by the Fundraising Research & Campaigns Manager and senior management of the Development Office. EXPERIENCE, PERSONAL QUALITIES & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE Essential: An interest in fundraising and a commitment to prospect research. Excellent analytical and research skills. Ability to collect and assess information rapidly, identifying key points and drawing conclusions. A thorough and detailed approach with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent writing and verbal skills. The ability to synthesise and present research in an objective manner. The willingness to challenge and verify the accuracy of information obtained. The ability to plan, organise, to work to and manage competing deadlines. Commitment to delivering timely, high-quality service and support for the Development Office.   Desirable: Knowledge of prospect research and the fundraising process. Interest in Singapore, Hong Kong or Malaysia. Knowledge of the UK Data Protection Act
