LIVE∙WORK∙SUPPORT
About the role
As a social worker, you will also be encouraged to make an active contribution to the development of service delivery through the sharing of your knowledge, information and skills as well as having access to our developing manager programme and undertaking regular practice education.
Your role will be key to the ongoing support of children in the care of Wiltshire Council, your contributions will be fundamental to safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting positive outcomes to ensure the long-term needs of the child are met.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a unitary authority which is leading the way through it’s transformational program (FACT).
What we are doing for our social workers:
Working patterns to fit for your life and commitments. Apply for either full time (37 hours) or part time role (hours to be agreed). We also offer flexible working options from across Wiltshire including working from home and full-time hours over a compressed fortnight.
* Provide free parking in the locality of most of our hubs.
* Provide you with a laptop and mobile phone, so you can work flexibly from any location across the county enabling you to be more effective and flexible in your practice.
* We have a variety of progression opportunities; including practice educator training, CMI accredited leadership programs and career paths into management.
* Locate you within an established and supportive team which includes support workers, child psychologists, ASYE’s, assessing and supervising social workers.
* We will provide monthly reflective supervision and management feedback in a culture of learning and development.
* We offer an attractive rewards and relocation package, as well as the option to purchase additional holiday, use of a pool car scheme and free council parking within close proximity to Wiltshire Council offices.
About you
You will hold a relevant social care qualification, Social Work England registration (previously HCPC) and relevant experience.
You will bring an understanding of related agendas, practices and policies, as well as a thorough knowledge of all associated legislation.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults, as an employee you will be expected to share this commitment.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 16th January 2020
