LEARNING ENHANCEMENT TUTOR (SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFICULTIES)

£33,797 to £40,322 per annum, pro rata for part-time
The post holder will provide specialist guidance to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) in developing strategies for effective study at university. You will support students’ learning development at all levels and across all disciplines through the provision of individual and small group tutorials. You will also contribute to the delivery of workshops and the development of self-access study resources. Working closely with other Learning Enhancement staff and other teams in Student Services, you will support the University’s triage, screening and assessment processes and the provision of wider support for students with SpLDs. You will also collaborate with colleagues in Schools of Studies and other departments across the University, including the Learning and Teaching Service, Library and Union of UEA Students in promoting awareness and understanding of SpLDs and inclusive approaches to learning and teaching.
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification together with a postgraduate qualification, and relevant experience of teaching and/or supporting learning.
The post is available immediately on an indefinite, full-time basis. We are happy to accept applications for part-time and job share options.
This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
