Nescot is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria).  The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of ‘Good’ under the robust new Ofsted standards. We are currently recruiting to the following position:  Term Time Only Student Progress Coaches £17,555 p.a. (actual salary for full time TTO) for 38 weeks per year Salary will be slightly less for part of the academic year to start We are looking to recruit a range of Progress Coaches for the following areas: Full time: Construction – full time Creative Media – full time maternity cover Part time: Animal Management & Catering – Thursday and Friday Core hours for full time: Monday – Thursday 8.45am – 5.15pm & Friday 8.45am – 4.45pm Nescot is looking to add to its successful team of Progress Coaches in order to support our further education students in achieving their qualifications and progressing to further or higher study or work.  Working with a caseload of students you will deliver tutorials and support to students along with effective pastoral and academic target setting and reviews. You will get to know your students, what motivates them to achieve and identifying with them the strategies they will need in order to maximise their potential.  This is an opportunity to work with and inspire young people to help them become qualified in the occupation of their choice and to develop the personal and academic skills they need to progress or to get a job. You should have experience of working with young people, be confident in delivering to groups of students as well as working on a 1 to 1 basis. In addition, you should have excellent organisational and motivational skills and be able to work as part of a team to help young people to attend, enjoy and achieve. This is an ideal stepping stone into a rewarding career in teaching.
