Rutland Water Nature Reserve

Part time - 24 hours per week

Fixed term contract until 18 September 2020

Salary IRO £18,366

The Rutland Water Nature Reserveis an internationally famous nature reserve managed by our client. It provides one of the most important wildfowl sanctuaries in Great Britain, regularly holding in excess of 25,000 waterfowl.

The role:

The purpose of this role is to support the effective day to day running of the Lyndon Visitor Centre, enabling more people to enjoy the natural heritage of the nature reserve. The role is part time covering 3 days per week including regular weekends and bank holidays during the summer Osprey season.

Providing a welcoming customer service, you will ensure a good first impression of the reserve and the wider organisation. You will also provide efficient volunteer support, assist with the retail operation and organise events and activities which take place at the reserve.

About you:

Candidates should have the following skills and experience;

?Great customer service skills and experience of working with the public.

?Experience of working with volunteers.

?Knowledge of conservation work, ideally in relation to osprey.

?Experience of organising, running and leading events.

?Previous sales / retail experience including cash handling.

?A passion for the natural world.

Due to the nature of the role, a full current UK driving licence is essential.
