If you would like to be considered for multiple roles and are invited to attend an interview, please make your assessor aware on the day.
We have a number of different ways to work flexibly so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however it may open the door to not only a new role but a new way of working.
Duties & Responsibilities
This role starts in March 2020 at our new Customer Fulfilment Centre in Enfield, which will process and deliver Waitrose & Partners online shopping orders across London. The address is 345 Southbury Road, Enfield EN1 1TW. The nearest train station is Southbury
This is the latest in a number of investments to accommodate the demand for online customer orders at Waitrose & Partners. We want to ensure that our customers can purchase our products easily and conveniently using the latest technology. We need Delivery Drivers who would love to give our customers the kind of service they expect from Waitrose & Partners across London.
What's the role about?
You'll be the friendly face of our business - the helpful driver who delivers the unique blend of Waitrose quality and outstanding service right to our customers' doors.
This is a really important 'front line' role. You represent us with every single customer you meet, and their impression of Waitrose is down to you.
Job Requirements
What you'll be doing
You will be delivering Waitrose online customer orders across London. So, as well as having a flexible approach and the ability to use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations, you should be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service.
Required essential experience skills and qualifications
What you'll have
You will need a full valid UK manual driving licence with no more than six points - and you should be 18 years old or over.
Part of the application process will include a licence check and a security check to confirm your suitability for the role.
Required desirable experience skills and qualifications
What else could you bring
Previous experience in a driving role and a knowledge of chilled vehicles would both be welcomed.
Why our drivers love working with us
Our Delivery Drivers love giving amazing service to our loyal customers, being able to use their initiative while out driving all over London and working as part of a huge team who care for each other. Free parking on site is a very popular perk too.
The benefits they love include a subsidised dining room where you can relax & enjoy a tasty breakfast or meal, and buying Waitrose & Partners food in the onsite shop which is heavily discounted daily. More benefits https://www.jlpjobs.com/about/benefits/
We occasionally close vacancies early in the event we receive a high volume of applications. Therefore, we recommend you apply early
