Due to continual growth and a strong project pipeline we are looking to expand our Willmott Dixon South West team and recruit an experience Quantity Surveyor to join the Somerset and Devon team. Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate experience working on a number of projects ranging from £5m - £30m. About the role

The main role of a Quantity Surveyor at Willmott Dixon is to provide commercial expertise and be responsible for the financial delivery of one or a number of projects you will manage commercial activities with a high degree of acumen whilst identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process. Candidates should ideally be able to deliver the right net cost, on time, to the highest quality and accuracy from estimation through to delivery on site.

The Responsibilities:
* You will accurately value, certify and issue any relevant payment notices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditions of their subcontract.
* Ensure that external valuations are submitted in accordance with conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date, taking full responsibility for the project's cash position.
* Complete CVC reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the current position on site and the final profit projection.
* Build and establish excellent working relationships with our supply chain, consultants and clients where appropriate, this will enable you to identify any potential disputes in a timely manner to your line manager and then implement effective resolutions
* You will work closely with the project team and commercial manager to achieve or exceed budgeted targets for your projects



What we are looking for

You will support your team to successfully deliver projects across Somerset and Devon across the following sectors (but not limited to)
* Education
* Leisure
* Healthcare
* Blue Light
* Residential

You will have the following experience:
* Proven track record of successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors
* Experience using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
* he ability to control costs, timing and quality in line with targets
* Efficient use of all staff and resources
* Understanding and appropriately sharing build programmes
* Managing teams including the supply chain, direct employees and consultants.
* Playing a leading role which positively contributes to the project team(s).
* Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain.
* Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc)
* Valid driving licence
