Position Summary

The International C&B team at Discovery are responsible for the design and management of Compensation & Benefit plans and programmes for nearly 5,000 employees in 32 countries. Our goal is to drive engagement and position Discovery as a destination employer by supporting the attraction and retention of Talent, through a competitive reward offering that supports the welfare and wellbeing of employees.

As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for C&B for the Nordic & Southern Europe countries within EMEA and Digital.

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead C&B contact for the allocated client group, operating as a proactive partner for HR Business Partners and business leadership.
  • Develop and review C&B plans, policies and processes, making recommendations and managing the implementation of change and/or new initiatives.
  • Manage compensation for the client group through providing expert compensation guidance and carrying out executive benchmarking and competitive analysis.
  • Drive HRM self-sufficiency through use of salary ranges and compensation tools
  • Ensure the successful design and delivery of global and regional compensation plans including recognition, bonus and sales incentive plans.
  • Manage relationship with local benefit brokers, oversee annual benefit plan renewals and carry out regular market reviews to ensure offering is compliant, market competitive and cost effective.
  • Ensure communications about C&B plans are effective and engaging to maximise impact.
  • Ensure benefit plans meet employee needs and that Discovery keeps up to date with latest developments in employee wellbeing and engagement.
  • Develop a strong network with entertainment/media industry contacts providing insight into organization design, commission plan information, and job information.
  • Key contributor on the implementation of Compensation & Benefits for a new Global HR System (SuccessFactors)

Requirements

  • Strong experience of International compensation & benefits management, including the design and implementation of new plans and governance of existing plans.
  • Proven track record effectively delivering projects using sound project management techniques.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to design processes and operating practices that minimise risk and drive efficiency.
  • Ability to build robust relationships with stakeholders with the ability to effectively influence others and manage conflict.
  • Pro-active approach to identifying new C&B projects and initiatives to implement the strategy and goals of the team.
  • Strong communication skills that engage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently, prioritising and delegating effectively.
  • A global mindset that fosters creativity within the team.
