Job purpose
To assist the Head of Facilities in the day to day running of all premises, and to assist with general base husbandry and ensure fuel quality on a daily basis at the Earls Colne and North Weald Hangar 7 Airbases.
Hangar Specific Duties
1. Perform daily checks in accordance with regulations and good practice on fuel to ensure quality and log as per regulations.
2. Assist with keeping hangar and apron areas clear of FOD and general cleanliness.
3. When required, oversee delivery of fuel.
4. As and when required collect items for use at the hangar or operation ensuring safe delivery and notify either Operations Director or Clinical Managers if equipment/medical stores.
5. Ensure all facilities equipment is in a state of readiness eg generator, snow clearing machine.
6. Assist with general tidiness and cleanliness of other areas in the hangar, carpark, grass areas, offices and cabins.
7. Report any faults/problems with building and equipment (non-clinical) to Facilities Manager or Ops Director.
8. Keep Hanger and surrounding areas clean. 9. Under direction of the Clinical Manager, assist in management of equipment and stores (clinical and non-clinical) including all storage and training areas.
General Duties
1. To assist the Head of Facilities in the day to day running of premises.
2. To assist the Head of Facilities in carrying out health and safety audits on EHAAT premises.
3. To carry out basic handyman type tasks as instructed by the Head of Facilities.
4. To assist in any manual handling type tasks as directed by the Head of Facilities.
5. To assist the airbase Clinical Managers/Crew in destroying out of date controlled drugs.
6. To assist the Head of Facilities in managing the RRV/Trust vehicle fleet, with regards to servicing, general husbandry and ensure all are correctly maintained, ie water/oil checks, tyre pressure
