Job Title: Facilities Assistant
Location: Earls Colne
Salary: £12,100 (27.5 hrs per week)
Term: Permanent part time
My client are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to assist the Facilities Manager in the day to day running of all premises, and to assist with the general husbandry and ensure fuel quality on a daily basis at all sites.
Main duties of the Facilities Assistant include:
Assist the Head of Facilities in the day to day running of all premises
Assist the Head of Facilities in carrying out health and safety audits
Complete audits/inspections on all premises
To attend premises across Essex and Hertfordshire
To carry out basic handyman/maintenance tasks as appropriate
Complete regular fire alarm and security alarm tests
Maintain first aid boxes and supplies
To assist the Head of Facilities in managing the trust vehicle fleet
Perform daily checks in accordance with regulations and good practice on fuel to ensure quality and log as per regulations
Assist with keeping the hangar, carpark, grass areas, offices clean and tidy in line with health and safety requirements
When required, oversee delivery of fuel
Report any faults or problems with building and equipment
Assist in management of equipment and stores including all storage and training areas
To assist in any manual handling type tasks as directed by Head of Facilities
Essential Criteria for the role of Facilities Assistant:
Ideally previous experience in a similar role
Highly motivated, focussed individual
Have a "can-do" attitude
Flexible and trustworthy
Excellent communication skills
Organised and efficient in managing own workload
A clean driving licence and your own transport is essentialThe Salary for the Facilities Assistant role:
