The Role

Willmott Dixon is seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to join our award winning Group Sustainability team. The role is based at our Head Office in Letchworth and supports local offices across England and Wales which make up the Willmott Dixon Group.

The Project

This role is responsible for providing internal and external sustainability communications expertise and support to the Willmott Dixon Group; developing communications and events to accompany publications including the forthcoming launch of our new 2020-30 Strategy, Annual Sustainable Development Review and Annual Report and Accounts. Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and delivering the Group Sustainability Communications Strategy

* Leading communications support and advice to Group Sustainability and wider sustainability community

* Developing sustainability communications in collaboration with Group Communications to accompany publications, policies, plans and reports

* Managing the sustainability content of our key communications channels, including the Group website, intranet, social media and bulletins

* Managing the development and delivery of Group Sustainability conferences and events

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and proven experience in developing and delivering communications strategies, writing engaging content for a range of channels and audiences, and organising and managing internal conferences and events.

In addition, they will be able to work on several projects concurrently at both a strategic level whilst being able to deliver short-term deadlines. They will be a self-starter able to demonstrate high levels of initiative, tenacity and self-motivation and be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy. With an imaginative and creative approach to both language and visuals they will also have excellent organisational skills.

Essential criteria:

* Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc). Planning and organising projects, events and commissioning and managing third party suppliers such as graphic designers, photographers and film-makers.

* Valid driving licence

Desirable criteria:

* Degree in in communications, marketing or sustainability-related subject.

* Membership of relevant professional body
