Our client is looking for a Team Leader with experience of working in residential care for Children and Young People with complex mental health needs.

They provideresidential CAMHs services and offer care and support for young people who have experienced difficulties in their life which is often connected with trauma. They often use using self-harm as a coping stagey and they are supported in a therapeutic way.

Position: Team Leader

Location: Bolton

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week – over a 7 day rota including day time, evening and weekend shifts, Sleep-ins

Salary: £20,384 - £21,424 per annum, overtime, paid sleep-ins and additional Bank Holiday pay also available

About the Role of Team Leader:

You will lead a team of experienced residential support workers in a service that enables young people to live fulfilling lives whilst in a supportive nurturing, boundaried andsafe placement. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to work in this unique environment.

You will support the Registered Manager by leading the shift team in the direct support work of the children / young people and to ensure that the highest standards of care are in place. Promoting the needs of the children / young people and assist then in makingsense of their life experiences to date and how to‘move forward’ with more effective and positive strategies.

You will be expected to work shifts and work flexibly to meet the needs of the children and fulfil all health and safety requirements, as well as being part of the on call service for the children’s homes if/when required alongside the management team.

About You:

As Team Leader you will need experience of mental health needs relevant to the service, ideally within a residential or Children’s home environment.

You will have a minimum level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in health and social care.

You will be a dedicated and empathic person with the ability to overcome difficult situations, setbacks and pressure and a willingness to get things done. You will be able to demonstrate the right attitude and commitment to their ethos and show empathy and sensitivity to the needs of others. You will display initiative and approachability, with the ability to coordinate and manage unexpected situations.

Ideally you will have experience of working with staff in a supervisory role. A full driving license is also essential.
