Job Details

This is a 12-month fixed term contract position with a salary of up to £36,000 plus benefits.

For internal candidates the salary will be dependent upon experience – Nest level C8.

Department Overview

This role will be split across two departments:

Finance team

The NEST Finance Directorate is split into the following areas: Scheme Accounting, Financial Accounting for the NEST Corporation, Management Accounting and Business Partnering. These functions are brought together in two teams: Financial Accounting (covering the first two functions) and Management Accounting (covering the last two).

P&D team

Experience and technical skills  

The employee will be able to demonstrate the following experience and technical skills:

Experience administering and supporting HR and Finance systems (ideally iTrent and Sage)

Experience with data analysis and report building (ideally Business Objects)

Experience developing and configuring business systems

Experience obtaining, understanding and documenting business requirements

Understanding process automation and workflows

Technical knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint Online

Experience in SQL, K2, PowerApps, Flow, PowerBI, .Net would be advantageous but not essential

Ability or produce clear written material

Customer focused and goal orientated with keen attention to detail

Personal attributes required  

The role will require someone with the following personal attributes:

A methodical and analytical self-starter capable of administering and maintaining solutions without having to be asked.

A confident manner and excellent communication skills able to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

Willingness to work with others, good teamwork, and good communication skills

The ability to cope with multiple tasks/projects

Education, qualification and professional membership requirements  

A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a working environment

ITIL v3 Foundation (Desirable but non-essential)

The post-holder will be expected to hit the ground running, to be self-starting and to be very flexible regarding the work that they do as part of the team.

This post is a very rewarding one as the holder is responsible for both administering and developing a key range of business systems.  No two days are the same, so the post holder needs both the technical and interpersonal skills to administer, develop and trouble-shoot a range of interesting scenarios, to consider options explain and implement solutions.
