 £38,850 to £42,000 depending on experience, plus Essential Car User Allowance* currently £1,300 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gas Engineer to join L&Q’s Building Services team. You will work closely with the Gas Manager, Building Services Administrative and Compliance Teams along with the Neighbourhood team to ensure that L&Q achieve 100% receipt of valid LGSR’s (Landlord Gas Safety Records).

You will have expert knowledge of servicing, repair and replacement of gas installations.

Experience in contract management, involving the use of external contractors who are engaged to carry out the gas serving contracts. Monitoring financial budgets and ensuring that spend is monitored. You should have a good understanding of financial compliance. Monitoring progress, contract performance management, identifying issues and ensuring that time frames are adhered too.

 

The Gas Engineers make a real difference developing an effective, efficient and responsive management process to support L&Q’s corporate objective of achieving Operational Excellence and to our resident satisfaction and safety at home.

To be considered for this role candidates will be able to demonstrate :

 

·       First class communication skills both written and verbal

·       Experience of working with a variety of different stakeholders with good end results. liaise effectively with contractors, residents, solicitors, and our own technical and administrative staff.

 

·       Great organisational skills

·       Practical experience of managing gas and have a detailed understanding of best practice in the delivery of annual gas safety records.

·       It is expected that you will complete an Association of Gas Managers (AGSM VRQ level 4) qualification during you first year after your probation period. 

·       You will need to be computer literate and be able input and retrieve data from computer management systems.

·       Full Driving License
