Job Details

Role Purpose

To champion and drive the quality of performance management across the LR business. To provide thought leadership for performance and to manage all aspects of performance management within LR including the performance cycle, continuous improvement, PPP system, PPP process and materials, communications and education and Behavioural Competencies (BCs).

The Performance Consultant opportunity is part time based on 21 hours per week

Your duties will include

  • To manage all aspects of the performance management cycle within LR, acting as the HR Subject Matter Expert for performance and key point of contact for PPP process, performance and behavioural competences.
  • To manage the annual performance cycle, including HR and business communications and education, supporting materials and continuous improvement and feedback loops, driving up the quality of performance management conversations and activities across the business.
  • To ensure that all elements of performance are continuously reviewed and improved to support colleague and manager adoption and engagement, effective application of groups policies and processes. To act as a thought leader for performance, ensuring that our practice and processes are up-to-date, effective and in line with best practice.
  • To stay ahead of best practice and industry trends relating to performance and behaviours and to regularly review LR’s offerings and practices, proposing new approaches as required.
  • To ensure the delivery of the PPP process through the SuccessFactors PPP system, using third party technical support. This includes working closely with the LR Academy, SAP, the IS Success Factors team, other system providers and the HR Operational Excellence team to manage system upgrades and enhancements.
  • To work with HR Directors, Area HR Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure completion rates and deadlines are achieved and to drive up the quality of performance conversations through coaching and training.
  • To ensure LR’s Behavioural Competences are fit for purpose and regularly reviewed and updated in line with strategic or cultural requirements.
  • Eliminated or minimise employee’s exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities.
  • Manage your own and your team’s compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.

To be considered

  • Experience of performance management within a global matrix organisation
  • Broad external network focused on performance management best practice and approaches
  • Having a background in relevant specialist HR/HR business partnering
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability build relationships with global stakeholders
  • Structured, with high degrees of accuracy
  • Outward facing, taking a realistic view of best practice
  • Experience of SAP SuccessFactors preferred but not essential
