Are you an experienced Corporate Lawyer looking to find or return to a role which doesn't involve full-time fee-earning, whilst remaining at the cutting edge of the legal profession? Or are you a Corporate PSL looking for your next challenge? Then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for 2 PSL Lawyers to support our Corporate practice, one to focus on Private Equity and one to focus on Equity Capital Markets. The role will require some interaction with clients and professional bodies, but also colleagues at all levels, with a focus on our UK offices.

We are open to considering candidates that are looking for a full time or part time contract and we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements. We are also open to considering candidates working in any of our 3 UK regional locations: Leeds, Birmingham or Manchester.

Our Team

Our Corporate Lawyers advise UK and international public and private companies, including numerous Fortune 500 and FTSE 250 companies as well as financial institutions, private companies and entrepreneurs on a range of domestic and cross-border transactions.

Squire Patton Boggs is consistently recognised among the top ranked legal M&A practices for multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions. Our aim is to build long-term relationships with our clients and help them achieve their corporate objectives.

Our Opportunity

Whether you are, or have been, in a similar role or wanting to stepp away from a fee-earning position, this is a fantastic way to add real value to our Corporate practice, both internally and for clients. This is a varied role where you will utilise your in-depth legal knowledge to promote and instil technical excellence.

You will support on business development initiatives including knowledge management for clients, assistance with client pitches from a knowledge management/value add perspective, preparing and disseminating tailored updates to clients and identifying key horizon issues to help attract clients and cement existing relationships, assisting with legal directory submissions.

You will take the lead providing a vital service within key areas including training, research, and knowhow. You will build your external network within the industry, ensuring we are at the forefront of all legal and legislative developments that may affect our clients. The role will also involve working closely with our BD and marketing teams, to provide a value added service to existing and prospective clients through a range of training and knowledge sharing initiatives.

You

We are looking for someone with considerable experience and knowledge of Corporate law. Full support will be given where this is a first step back into the legal profession. You will have a proven ability to effectively articulate, communicate and explain new areas of law to a wide range of stakeholders, including the ability to interact with and be accessible to people at all levels from trainees to partner. You will have strong organisational and time management skills, which are key to providing an outstanding service to our clients and colleagues. You must possess strong IT skills to conduct effective research and dissemination of information using various online systems.
