We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and experienced Health, Safety and Environment Advisor with proven track record in infrastructure construction to join Barking Riverside Infrastructure Team.

The Advisor - Construction, Health, Safety and Environment will assist the Principal Advisor- Construction Health, Safety and Environment in managing all health, safety and environmental (HS&E) matters at Barking Riverside Ltd (BRL).

Reporting to the Principal Advisor - Construction Health, Safety and Environment, you will be responsible for undertaking day to day health, safety and environmental compliance within BRL.  You will make sure that we fully comply with HS&E legislations as well as BRL & L&Q internal policies and specific procedures.

This position requires an individual capable of working with people at all levels within the business and our supply chain.   You will be involved in all aspects of BRL HS&E operations, controlling and reporting against set timescales and reporting to the Principal Advisor - Construction HS&E.  You will be expected to contribute to strategic interventions that will improve HS&E performance and achieve BRL’s HS&E Visions

Applicants will have to demonstrate a record of achievement in a similar role and hold relevant health and safety qualifications.  You will have excellent communication skills and a demonstrable track record of building strong stakeholder relationships at all levels. 

Construction Health & Safety experience is essential and you will hold a valid CSCS Card.

Barking Riverside London is a joint venture between the Mayor of London and L&Q to deliver a quality led new riverfront town in East London comprising of 10,800 homes, a new rail station, new schools and commercial and cultural offerings along 2km of south-facing Thames river frontage.
