Osborne Clarke's reputation as a technology-led firm pervades our IP expertise; even with more traditional manufacturing clients, we tend to be advising on IP disputes with an internet/e-commerce/social media/ /telecoms/high tech element..

The team
Our IP Disputes team is led by Arty Rajendra (Partner) and this role will work closely with Chambers, IP Stars and WTR 1000 rated Robert Guthrie (Partner), who focusses on trade mark and copyright litigation and trade mark protection and portfolio management. In addition to Arty and Robert, the London team is also made up of 1 further Partner, who focuses on patent litigation, a Director of Trade Marks, 7 other Associates – Solicitors and Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys , 1 Trainee Solicitor and 4 Paralegals. The London team is also recruiting for a number of patent litigation focussed associates.
Technical skills and experience
You will have gained broad knowledge and experience of soft IP and trade mark disputes at a firm with a strong reputation in this area. You will also be comfortable advising on trade mark protection and prosecution before the UK and EU trade mark offices. Due to the highly technical nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to hire a Senior Associate, although we would consider candidates with more or less experience.
Your career development
Like all our lawyers, you will benefit from our multi-award winning career development programme. At each stage of your career this provides you with:
- clear expectations of your role and what it takes to progress;
- high quality clients and work, with early responsibility and client exposure;
- thorough assessment and individual feedback from a range of experienced colleagues;
- robust technical training with early skills based development, increasingly tailored to you; and
- reward for your contribution, progression and potential, rather than PQE or tenure.
