Position Summary

Discovery has undertaken a major initiative to transform our People & Culture function through the end to end design and implementation of a future state solution including the development of new shared Global Services, and implementation of technologies including SAP SuccessFactors and ServiceNow that will deliver a digitally enabled People & Culture function and workplace.

This is due to complete in summer 2020, and there is already a new and exciting People & Culture change agenda planned beyond this. As a result, Discovery is looking for a Change & Evolution Director to lead on the development of the change roadmap, as well as implementation of new or ongoing projects and initiatives across our People & Culture function.

This new role will be responsible for optimizing the current solution (delivery model and processes), as well as driving a continuous improvement agenda through the proactive identification of transformation initiatives.

We are looking for a passionate leader who is experienced in creating and driving business innovation and in delivering large scale implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and / or support implementation of new or ongoing People & Culture projects and initiatives
  • Proactively identify new projects or initiatives that will enhance the employee experience and operational efficiencies
  • Maintain the current People & Culture delivery model (organization model, processes, global requirements and tools)
  • Manage full life-cycle of People & Culture projects, including initiation and scope definition (decisions around plans, setting and managing realistic expectations for successful delivery with stakeholders).
  • Build and manage relationships with key project stakeholders from various business areas (including employee focus groups) across the organization
  • Drive a continuous improvement mind-set across the People & Culture function
  • Ensure there is cross function innovation especially with Finance and Technology
  • Manage, build and lead project resources
  • Manage, mitigate and communicate project / program risks in an efficient manner

Requirements

  • Significant experience working on global transformation programs, working with senior leadership
  • Previous experience of working in project management, change management or consultancy project roles, ideally in People & Culture (HR) or Operations functions
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Comfortable with the RFI (Request For Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) vendor process
  • Strong presentation skills, to large groups and senior leadership
  • Experience of building, maintaining and managing strong relationships with stakeholder groups across different levels in organization
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to define continuous improvement opportunities
  • Highly motivated and self-starter, with a proactive and flexible working style
  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines on multiple projects or tasks concurrently
  • Comfortable working with a global consumer base and different culture
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Must have a legal right to work in the UK
