An exciting opportunity for a Supporter Engagement Officer to provide support for developing and diversifying our client’s income.

Our client is a charity dedicated to making sure Deaf people get the same sort of access as hearing people to healthcare and health information. They welcome applications from people who have strong communication and administration skills and who want to develop into a role within Charity Fundraising.

Position: Supporter Engagement Officer

Location: Balham, London

Salary: £25,315 per annum

Hours: Full time, permanent

About the role:

This exciting role is a key fundraising position and will have responsibility for raising significant levels of income from grant making trusts, foundations, schools, individuals and community sources.

The Supporter Engagement Officer will provide support for developing and diversifying income as led by the Director of Communications & Fundraising. The role will also include coordinating day to day supporter acquisition, stewardship and customer service, plus data processes for the function with associated analysis and reporting.

This is a brand new role and you will be supported through your initial induction and probation. Training will be provided, as well as professional development including the Certificate in Fundraising and Membership of the Institute of Fundraising (IoF) so that you can continue your journey and make a difference within this amazing organisation.

About You:

This is an amazing opportunity for a self-motivated individual, you will be passionate and enthusiastic and able to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively, bringing with you a good understanding of fundraising proposals, reports and presentations.

Key skills and experience include:

  • strong communication and administration skills
  • Experience of contributing towards fundraising or business development strategies in line with organisational plans
  • Experience of delivering against income targets
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Proven ability in building good working relationships with colleagues and confidence to build external relationship through networking
  • Proven ability to manage a project through to completion

Although not essential, due to the nature of our client’s services, a knowledge and understanding of BSL and deaf culture would also be highly desirable.

You may also have experience in areas such as: Fundraising, Supporter Experience, Communication Support, Donor Care, Trust and Statutory Fundraising, Digital Fundraising, Fundraising Support, Fundraising Executive, Fundraising Assistant, Fundraiser, Fundraising Coordinator, Events Fundraising, Major Donor, Individual Giving, Trusts and Foundations, Business Development, Supporter Engagement etc.
