At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper and to become the best bank for our customers. What we do makes a genuine difference to families, businesses and communities, and we're playing a central role in crafting a growing UK economy.

You'll be joining Insurance Finance as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. We provide statutory and regulatory reporting to meet external requirements. We support the Insurance business to shape the financial strategy and implement quality systems and processes, to deliver strong returns on capital. We also maintain and improve financial controls to help the business work cost optimally and efficiently.

You'll be providing technical support and assistance to the Life & Pensions business. Using your judgment, you'll be analysing actuarial problems and making sensible recommendations. At this level you'll be delivering small-scale projects, or well defined tasks within larger projects. You'll contribute to the delivery of insightful reporting, through demonstrating granular data sources combined with the latest technologies and analytical techniques.

What would you get involved with?

There are numerous opportunities for you to partner with the Capital Modelling, Modelling Production, With Profits and Reporting teams.

Capital Modelling team: we're responsible for modelling the Solvency Capital Requirement. You'll be involved in the delivery of insightful results to inform business decisions, establishing collaborations and supporting capital management initiatives. You'll be interacting with projects and supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the capital model used to support the overall Internal Model.

Production team: we have a wide reach as they plan and execute many actuarial processes, primarily for Actuarial Reporting. We also work closely with Actuarial Change on various activities including process development and Prophet model release testing.
With Profits team: we're responsible for all internal and regulatory reporting on our two With Profits funds. We also look after the maintenance and development of our stochastic model that is used to value the option and guarantee costs within the funds. Working in this team you'll be involved in a wide range of tasks, interacting with teams around the business to achieve the best outcomes for both the business and our policyholders.

Reporting team: your remit would include focused investigations to solve problems and drive insight during regular reporting cycles. Interacting with projects that are delivering new capability, from idea generation through to implementation.

What skills and experience can you bring to the role?

* You'll be a part-qualified actuary or newly qualified actuary, and will likely demonstrate your numerical capability through a Maths (or similar subject) degree. Your trainee actuary experience will have included exposure to the Life & Pensions sectors of UK Financial Services.
* You're deeply analytical, with a real eye for detail and accuracy. You're accustomed to delivering to deadlines and are adept at using Excel.
* You'll relish the opportunity to build on your existing experience in this role, whilst continuing on your path to become a qualified actuary. Alongside your technical expertise, your ability to build effective collaborations and communicate at all levels, will be at the forefront of your contribution.
* You'll enjoy working with some degree of independence, as well as contributing as part the team, to achieve our goals.

And in return...

It is a very exciting time to join LBG. In return for your expertise, you'll enjoy our total dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We'll help you perform at your best today, so you can fulfil all your potential in the future.
