Senior Communications Officer

We are looking for a confident, self-motivated and suitably skilled communications professional to lead and deliver a sustained and effective communications programme to ensure customers and stakeholders are informed, engaged, reassured and supported throughout this ambitious high profile project.

Position: Senior Communications Officer

Location: London - WC1H

Hours: 35 hours per week, with eligibility for flexi-time working

Salary: £43,205 per annum (including the location allowance)

Contract: This is a fixed term contract, set initially at two years, based in London requiring agile working across multiple sites.

Benefits: Opt-in to the auto-enrolment pension scheme or enhanced rate scheme, 25 days’ holiday per year (plus bank holidays), 10% salary increase after 12 months' service, dependent on work performance, a 35 hour working week with eligibility for flexi-time working, family friendly benefits providing enhanced maternity, paternity, shared parental leave and adoption, Riverside Rewards scheme and app.

The organisation is looking to deliver a multi-million-pound investment programme to transform the homes and lives of some 465 households across six social housing estates in London

The Role

As Senior Communications Officer, you will work with the London and central Marketing and Communications teams to develop and deliver a strategic plan to engage with customers and stakeholders for each of the six estates.

Key objectives will be securing their involvement in shaping the proposals themselves, winning a clear mandate of support through a ballot process and supporting the work of the teams and contractor partners as the works get underway.

Your key responsibilities as Senior Communications Officer will include:

 

  • Shaping and production of communications materials, making full use of both online, offline and face to face communications channels.
  • Monitoring and accounting for results and providing key advice to the project team on all aspects of stakeholder engagement.
  • Reporting to the Tenant Engagement Manager and working closely with the Marketing team at the Liverpool head office.

 

You will also act as internal communications lead for the London programme, ensuring colleagues are well informed about redevelopment proposals

Whilst the role is formally based in Euston (WC1H 0BS), however you will be required to travel regularly to South and Central London and work in an agile manner (with occasion travel outside of London).

About You

As Senior Communications Officer, you will:

 

  • Have excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Have the ability to produce written and other content suitable to a diverse range of target groups in both a proactive and reactive manner to ensure communications are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Be able to engage stakeholders successfully.
  • Be comfortable working independently and with changing priorities.
