As an operational risk manager you will be supporting our colleagues by providing clear advice, support, and guidance allowing them to assess and manage their key risks. You’ll be responsible for championing fair risk management practices across the bank, allowing us to continue to support and protect our customers.

So what would you be doing?...

• Supporting in the design, implementation and improvement of the overall risk management framework for the bank
• Promoting a proactive approach to risk management across the Bank, as well as being a champion for the wider operational risk team to the rest of our colleagues 
• Reviewing incidents, errors and potential breaches to determine whether there are common themes or issues that require increased enhancements to protect the bank
• Advising or updating the team on industry requirements and best practices
• Being part of the risk champion network across Metro Bank

• You will have extensive operational risk knowledge, with experience of managing a team
• Expert knowledge of Excel 
• You will be risk aware and understand financial products, with a good knowledge of the regulatory environment for retail and commercial banking
• Experience of evaluating and measuring risks across a business is essential
