Lead Risk Management across our European Global Markets business based in our newly established Dublin office.

We’re looking for a Risk expert with a broad skillset to provide second line oversight and management across all aspects of risk in MBE, responsible for risk oversight including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, prudential matters including regulatory policy, adequacy of capital and liquidity risk.

The role will involve daily interaction with lending and trading teams to challenge and approve new business opportunities in conjunction with first line approvers, supported by a team of local, dedicated risk analysts. You will also be responsible for the oversight and design of MBE’s Risk Management Framework, which includes owning the Risk Taxonomy and Risk Appetite Framework and will report into the Board’s Risk Committee on the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management policies and procedures used across the entity. Key to this will be providing ongoing regular reporting of key appetite metrics to the Board and senior management. You will also be jointly responsible, with the CFO, for developing and maintaining the ICAAP and Recovery Plan documents and for designing and overseeing the internal processes regarding their governance and compliance with CRD IV / CRR.

This role presents an opportunity to join our growing business as a Director and part of the Senior Management team. You will also be the Chair of the bank’s Credit Committee and Asset & Liability Committee. You will bring an expert knowledge of market, operational and credit risk, gained in a comparable trading environment and detailed knowledge of the regulatory landscape.  Knowledge of Commodities would be particularly useful.

If you would like to be a part of our ongoing and exciting journey, please apply now.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
