Position Summary

Eurosport is excited to be recruiting for an SEO Manager, working primarily to grow the Eurosport Player, our over-the-top (OTT) platform that gives customers access to linear and digital sports content including Tennis Majors, the best Cycling events such as the Tour de France, and the Olympics!

Core to Eurosport’s strategy for engaging our Sports audience is creating authentic, intuitive, and delightful digital products. This role is key to delivering against our strategy.

Part of the Growth Marketing team, the SEO Manager will lead all aspects of technical search engine optimisation, and work closely with our editorial and content teams across Europe to help grow our audience and expand our reach across the 40+ markets that we operate in. The role will comprise of both on-site and off-site optimisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the SEO strategy, maintaining strong relations with internal teams, delivering industry-leading insights, analysis and outreach campaigns
  • Own the performance and reporting of the Organic Search channel
  • Conduct in-depth and regular audits of sites and competitor performance analysis using tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog and third party rank checking tools
  • Work closely with the Product team to continually develop our SEO presence, ensuring requirements are understood and delivered inl-ine with SEO best practice
  • Support commercial, marketing, editorial and other key teams with ad hoc SEO requests; attend all relevant meetings and planning sessions.
  • Track, report and analyse SEO campaign performance data from SEO campaigns and strategies.
  • Provide competitive analysis of top ranking competitor sites and provide actionable insight

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a specific SEO focused role, with a strong understanding of link building, best practices, and effective strategies
  • Excellent understanding of the online marketing and e-commerce environment
  • Deep knowledge of search engine crawling, indexing and ranking algorithms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritising based on growth potential
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel and other tools such as Google/Adobe Analytics, and reporting dashboards such as Tableau
  • Able to translate business goals into a well-defined performance plan and communicates link between current activities and goals
  • Effective stakeholder management, effectively communicating plans and securing buy-in
  • Experience in paid marketing channels desirable
