Contract:
- Fixed term contract (3 or 6 months), full-time hours only
Shifts: Your hours will be scheduled a rotational shift pattern within our working hours (Monday-Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday-Sunday 8am-6.15pm). Part-time shifts can be discussed as part of our recruitment process.
Our services are more vital than ever before and as a result, our frontline agents have been classed as key workers and our centres remain open. However, our ambition is to provide the ability for as many employees as possible to work from home in order to create flexibility to react to the changing situation.
We want you join us as soon as possible and help us keep our customers and the country connected.
The role
We want everyone to enjoy our ultrafast broadband, phone and TV services. But when customers have trouble paying us, we need to be professional. Empathy is key: we don’t want to lose customers. So you’ll help them by working through the situation together, making sure that you leave everyone smiling.
Working from our establish call centre, you’ll ring people who are behind on their subscriptions, quickly build a let’s-get-this-sorted rapport and work out the best route forward for everyone involved. This could be a payment plan or a different, more affordable package.
There are targets, but they’re balanced with doing the right thing by our customers.
Who we’re looking for
If you’re someone who has a natural flair for problem solving and can quickly win people’s trust with a demonstrable passion for delivering an amazing service, you could suit this role well. You’ll also need:
- Previous customer service experience
- To be comfortable making outbound calls to our customers
- Familiarity with working in a target-driven environment
- Collections experience would be great too, but this isn’t essential for success
What’s in it for you
Meet your targets and you can expect something special. As well as monthly cash prizes, there’s an annual award ceremony where you’ll be treated to an amazing day out with the chance to win over £2,000. And we’ve made sure the rest of the package is impressive too:
- 25 days' holiday, plus three extra days when you've been here five years
- Your birthday off, every year!
- A generous contributory pension
- Private medical insurance
- Car salary sacrifice scheme
- Discounts on our broadband, mobile, voice and media services, and money off other Virgin Group products, services and experiences
Next Steps
If your application is successful, the next step will be to complete a video interview. You’ll receive an email with a link to complete the video interview. This might go into your spam/junk folder – so make sure to check these. Once you receive the link, you’ll have 7 days to complete the video interview, which means that you’ll have plenty of time to read through our handy video interview hints and tips guide, which you can find here. The guide will give you some useful advice on how to be your best self during the interview to increase your chances of success!
Due to the popularity of our roles, Virgin Media reserves the right to close the vacancy prior to the advertised closing date.
