As a Senior Data Analyst, you will support businesses through process and system change projects.

You will have demonstrated experience in business analysis, project delivery and be confident working across functional teams. Ideally you will have experience in project delivery for finance functions and new system implementations.

Your key responsibilities will include the interpretation of new Capital & Liquidity data requirements. You will also be performing detailed data-testing and validating results against documented requirements, identifying and investigating unexpected behaviours or patterns in input and output data.

You will have the ability to review data and find inconsistencies across the board, and in addition you will be driving data quality and integrity through checks and validations.

Your responsibilities will also be to understand and advise on data lineage within the organisation (data transformation & processing), support ad-hoc data requirements from our businesses and identify opportunities to improve processes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • a degree in Finance & Accounting or Business Management, with relevant accounting, reporting, analytics work experience
  • previous experience in the Financial Services industry
  • very strong MS Office skills, particularly Advanced Excel Skills (SQL Queries)
  • an organised and focussed work ethic 
  • a strong desire to work closely with the business and technology teams
  • strong relationship building skills
  • strong written & verbal communication skills
  • the ability and self-confidence to work independently
  • good analytical skills with demonstrated experience in effective problem solving
  • knowledge of data governance processes running of data warehouses
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work with global remote teams
  • the ability to be agile, proactive and articulate information effectively
  • the ability to work effectively with peers and stakeholders at all levels
  • motivation, drive, focus and be able to apply initiative
  • the ability to demonstrate resilience and to persevere in difficult situations
  • product knowledge of financial instruments and products would be beneficial for this role
  • data management best practise would be beneficial for this role.
