Brighton Marathon Volunteer

We’re looking for Cheer Squad volunteers to provide a great atmosphere for all at the Brighton Marathon, spurring on supporters towards the finish line!

Location: Brighton, BN1

Dates: 20th September 2020 – Please note, this event is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned. Due to COVID-19 dates for events are subject to change. We will endeavour to inform you of any changes to any events/activities we are involved in as soon as possible

Time: For each event, all it takes is a few hours of your time to support the runners. Becoming a Cheer Team Leader would involve committing time in the lead up to the event and being present from start to finish

The opportunity:

With a stunning coastal backdrop in one of the country’s most vibrant cities, the Brighton Marathon gets bigger and better every year! Renowned for its buzzing atmosphere and roaring crowd support, the course winds through the city streets, finishing up on the spectacular Brighton seafront. We’re looking for Cheer Squad volunteers to provide a great atmosphere for all, spurring on supporters towards the finish line!

As a Cheer Squad volunteer you will be:

  • Looking out for the team on the course
  • Cheering throughout the event, with an extra special cheer for #TeamARUK participants!
  • Distributing merchandise
  • Setup and takedown of flags and banners

You do not need to have previous volunteering experience, ideally you will bring with you the following skills:
