Senior Service Delivery Manager

Our client is seeking a female Senior Manager to provide strong and effective leadership and manage the effective delivery of trauma informed services across Avon and Somerset.

Due to the nature of the role applications are open to women only (exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1).

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on previous experience)

Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week – however 4 days a week or flexibility will be considered.

Duration: Permanent

Based: The role can be based from either the Bristol or Taunton Hub (Travel across the region is required)

Benefits: 5% pension, 27 days annual leave + bank hols (pro rata)

About the role:

Our client is a charity that provides vital support to victim-survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES helping them to rebuild their lives. As Senior Service Delivery Manager you will provide strategic leadership and senior management of the service delivery and volunteer team.

You will ensure that victim-survivors of rape and sexual abuse can access trauma informed, safe, effective, holistic and accessible services to meet their needs. This will include the development of responsive new services, considering creative and innovative approaches to reducing waiting times for survivors and engaging with underserved communities. As part of the Senior Leadership Team you will be responsible for driving organisational change, improvement and embedding best practice across services in a growing organisation with a fast-moving funding environment. You may be required to deputise for the CEO on occasion.

To be successful in this role you will be a resilient leader, passionate about supporting women who have experienced sexual violence and show a commitment to the vision, mission, aims and values of the organisation, keeping the service user experience and voice at the heart of all work.

Some of the key skills and experience essential to this role are:

 

  • Significant experience of leading, motivating, developing, and managing teams
  • Experience in operational management with skills that are transferable to our client’s services
  • Experience at senior level of successful financial management, including responsibility for multiple complex budgets
  • A proven track record of business planning and managing a diverse range of services across a geographical region and multiple sites
  • Ability to visualise, propose and implement changes to promote efficiencies and to develop and improve systems and procedures

 

Although not essential, experience of managing support services for people with complex needs, or clear understanding of trauma or sexual abuse and its impact would be highly beneficial for this role. As would a knowledge of safeguarding procedures, best practice, and legislation.
