Help our trading business build a Front Office risk calculation platform, using the latest cloud-based technologies and distributed stream techniques.

Our trading technology division have embarked upon a greenfield programme which will deliver a new risk platform, capable of providing real-time as well as end of day risk calculations across all asset classes.

We are building this platform, which will be used by our primary revenue generators, in-house.

Actively contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle you will architect and build solutions and deliver well designed, testable, efficient code.  You will be working with the latest technologies including Google Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes and interfacing directly with the business as part of a team of dedicated and highly skilled Engineers.

You will need the following technical skills:

  • Core Java and good knowledge of object-oriented analysis and common design patterns.
  • Familiarity with a Linux development environment
  • Experience with source control systems and build and dependency management tools

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Google, Azure), Containers, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • SQL/NoSQL databases and service-oriented architecture
  • Hands-on experience with basic shell scripting and Python

Working in Technology at Macquarie, you will be part of a high performing team and sit side-by-side with business stakeholders. Our flat structure means that you will directly contribute to our strategy, while taking ownership of a diverse range of projects utilising the latest technologies.

If you are an Engineer with a passion for technology and a desire to build systems that will revolutionise our business, we look forward to hearing from you.
