About the role:

The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Supporting someone with a learning disability isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. Our client is planning to support initially one but eventually two young ladies in the Ipswich area. The lady you will initially be supporting is moving into her own house for the first time and looking for a little support along that journey. She is super sociable and loves being out and about, whether it's playing football or heading to the beach. If she's relaxing in the house then nothings better than face masks, getting her nails done and generally getting pampered.

She's attending college at the moment, but is very much looking forward to what the future holds. If you think you have the skills and interests required to support then please do get in contact, even if it's just to have a chat and get a great idea of what the role might entail.

About You:

You don't need to have worked in supported living before to be a good Support Worker, simply the right attitude, a supportive nature, good communication skills and a great sense of humour is a must.

You'll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check which will be paid for.

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided we very much welcome previous experience working as Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
