As a Drug Product Supply Inventory Management Operations Planner and Scheduler, the successful candidate will be accountable for planning and scheduling activities within the Sandwich Inventory Management Good Manufacturing Practice facilities such as receipts, dispensing, shipping and other core business functions.

This role will also include procurement and scheduling of some services, training and materials for operational areas ensuring operations are not impacted. Provide Key Performance Indicators, dashboards and report statistics.

This role will require regular partnership with Inventory Management Operations Leads, Global Materials Coordinators, subject matter experts and partner lines.

Being a client interface the role is key to ensuring Inventory management planning and scheduling is always addressing customer and business priorities. Boosting the Inventory Management wider team, promoting change, basic troubleshooting in ambiguous situations and at times making self-directed decisions that may affect directly the department's ability to deliver its objectives.

The successful candidate will follow Good Manufacturing Practice standards, whilst remaining accountable for assuring compliance with Pfizer Standard Operating Procedures, and all applicable worldwide regulations and guidelines (e.g. Food and Drug Administration, Transportation Security Administration, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, Drug Enforcement Administration).

High level responsibilities of the Inventory Management Operations Planner and Scheduler include the following:

  • Scheduling of Inventory Management Sandwich operations areas.
  • Point of contact for operations planning, scheduling and priorities with basic issue resolution.
  • Work with Drug Product Manufacturing Leads, Clinical Supply Packaging, Global Material Coordinators, Drug Product Design, General Analytics and other key customers to ensure the schedule remains optimized.
  • To work in accordance with local & Global Standard Operating Procedures & in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice & Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Assist Site Lead in the management of colleague technical training organising.
  • To use own knowledge and technical judgment to maximise efficiency.

Dependent on experience may also include the following functions:

  • Oversee and execute procurement activities of materials and services
  • Where appropriate, support investigation of compliance issues and ensuring timeliness of closure (infrequent use the Quality Systems)
  • May be asked to articulate issues and propose options or recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Supporting compliance related activities, including documentation, safety, training and quality systems.
