About the Team

Working in a skilled team of Developers, Engineers and Testers constantly looking to evolve our technology, our applications, and the services we offer our stakeholders. The team are currently using TFS 2017, CI/CD Pipeline as well as looking at the options of changing from TFS to Azure DevOps, which can be on-premise or Cloud driven infrastructure.

About the Role

You will be delivering new store applications as well as improving the build processes around our existing applications and transitioning to new environments. You’ll be working on lots of exciting projects focused around fulfilling online orders in different ways from the store.

InStore Systems develop hundreds of applications used across the whole store estate using all sorts of technology ranging from Android mobiles and tablets, RFID, Raspberry Pi, Azure cloud, Bluetooth, as well as the one you would expect the touchscreen Tills. All used by over by 28,000 users. So it is really important they are engaged through the whole development process.

In this role, you'll be using monitoring tools for applications, servers & services diagnostics whilst assisting the development teams with performance and volume testing. You’ll also set up NuGet repositories, web servers and identify departmental processes that where possible, can be streamlined or automated.

A key part of this role will be to provide expert knowledge helping to drive the department Dev Ops roadmap and work alongside both internal and external Auditing and Security teams in order to maintain security of all environments and data.

Criteria

  • Microsoft .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#
  • TFS 2017 & TFVC (preferred)
  • Experience with Version Control and Automation Pipelines
  • PowerShell scripts
  • Azure cloud infrastructure
  • SQL Server database
