We are looking for an Asset Manager to join our team at Department for Transport in either London or Hastings. The role involves providing the full management of DFTc Kit, Laptops, mobile devices and software management.

Job description

The responsibilities will include the development and implementation of plans at asset level, working closely with your designated team and your wider colleagues. You will lead communication, evaluation and implementation of your portfolio which includes:
•Building and managing relationships with stakeholders and business representatives at peer level and above to understand and assist with development of requirements
•Contribute to the Development of Strategic Asset Management Plans at portfolio and responsible for delivery at individual asset level
•Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all data on the on the IT Service management tool
•Ensure compliance to mitigate errors and risks
•Build strong business cases to provide solutions to property requirements
•Manage and report on risk and provide strong evidence through findings
•Understand and Communicate best practice and innovation
 

Responsibilities

•Being responsible for Asset management and Software Management.
•Managing product licences in coordination with the Digital Support team.
•Generate Reports using our ITSM tool to ascertain what assets we have out with the business, in stock and fully managing the ticket management and related tasks that come with this.
•Work closely with the Service request team to manage Software Licenses for Adobe and Microsoft.
•Management of the day-to-day delivery of, and provision of support (including technical support & Incident management) for, one or more products or services in their area of responsibility.
•Develop a broad understanding of the core technical concepts related to their role and be able to apply them with guidance.
•Supporting the Senior Service Manager Digital Workplace in the delivery of end-to-end digital services by means of cross-team coordination, collaboration and flexibility, avoiding technical silos.
•Monitoring and ensuring agreed quality and service performance targets, ensuring that SLAs and OLAs are met and remain fit for purpose.
•Participation in Service Management meetings.
•Provision of management reporting and the accurate recording of service delivery against targets.
•Following defined operational procedures and working practices, contributing to Knowledgebase and maintenance of documentation.
•Engaging with end users, capturing and formalising improvement opportunities for digital services in coordination with the wider Digital Services Teams.
•Continually evolve services to make them accessible for all, championing those with special needs.
•Contributing to continual improvement and innovation of live services.
•Building a forward-looking view of live services demand in order to plan the right asset need for future service provision.
•Managing contracts and service level agreements with external suppliers, ensuring performance and value for money in regards to Assets.
•Potentially line-managing one or a small number of technical or admin staff supporting the management of the operations of products and services.
•Continuously building and developing the required skills and capabilities of people within their own area.
