Job Details

Nest exists to help millions of people enjoy a better life in retirement. With one in three UK workers saving with Nest and over 12 billion invested on behalf of the UK workforce, Nest is one of the largest pension schemes in the UK.

This is a 12 month FTC - with a salary of up to £60,000, dependent on experience plus benefits.

Please note that we can onboard and work remotely successfully during this period at Nest.

Nest is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applicants from all the nine protected characteristics.

We welcome applicants for part time/ job shares also.

Your new role

As Senior Strategy Advisor, you’ll sit at the heart of NEST, helping consider some of the biggest issues facing the pensions industry today. You’ll lead work to consider what we should do about the millions of very small pension pots which are driving cost into the industry; and co-ordinate NEST’s input into the pensions dashboard project, giving you a unique chance to influence a project that could be a gamechanger for pension savers.

We want your strategic analysis to guide us in making high quality contributions to the public debate, and you’ll be up front and centre when it comes to getting involved in all aspects of finding solutions to policy problems, often with a strong operational angle.

Reporting directly to the Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs you’ll apply your expertise in strategic analysis to deliver the best outcomes for our members.

This is not your typical pensions industry job. We don’t have shareholders to please and our values drive what we do. We look after the pensions of more than nine million savers; have over £10bn of members’ assets under management and we’re growing by around £5bn every year. We have a strong customer focus and a true social purpose with environmental and social governance at the forefront of what we do. We want people to look forward to the future with optimism and to give our members bigger pensions in a better world – not one or the other.

 What you’ll need to succeed

With a strategy or policy background, you will also need to show us you’ve got strong understanding of the processes and operations in the financial services industry coupled an ability to work with complex data and analysis. An excellent communicator, you’ll be able to structure a powerful argument both verbally and on paper. We want to see how your analysis has informed and supported decision making, influencing outcomes.

Working with friendly and supportive colleagues often in a matrix fashion, you’ll make an impact on Nest now and for our members well into the future.

What you’ll get in return

Competitive base salary

You will be working with a truly flexible employer offering a real work life balance, and who has fully embraced working from home culture during lockdown.

You will have your birthday and Christmas Eve as an additional bonus to the already fantastic holiday allowance. And of course…a generous pension contribution.

What you need to do now

Please complete your application on our website

Closing date for applications : Tuesday 15th September

Company

NEST is a great UK success story.

Established in 2010, NEST is a critical pillar of the Government’s automatic enrolment programme, with a public service obligation (PSO) to accept any employer wishing to use the scheme to discharge their automatic enrolment duties.   From a standing start, we have delivered a high quality, low cost pension scheme open to all, which has not only delivered on its mission, but has also helped to drive up standards and best practice across the industry. Now with over 6 million members and well over half a million participating employers, NEST is playing a critical role in helping people save for their retirement - many of them low to moderate earners who may be saving for the first time, and moving jobs frequently.   NEST now occupies an important place in the pensions market and will deliver high quality pensions to mass market consumers for many years to come, leveraging its scale to deliver value through the combination of low costs, market leading investment solutions and modernised services all overseen by strong Trustee governance.
